Who we are

We are a family-owned construction company built on hard work, integrity, and craftsmanship. As a father-and-son team, we bring together decades of hands-on experience and a fresh, forward-thinking approach to every project we take on.

Warren Propst began building speculative homes in Atlanta while attending Graduate School at Georgia Tech. He later joined Manning Construction and Development in Columbia, SC, where he was in charge of plan development and residential construction.

After using a number of outside design sources, he recognized a need for home plans that were exciting and appealing, yet functional, efficient, and buildable.

Warren then focused on designing home plans that were architecturally correct and accurate, encouraged that homes built from these plans would be durable, both physically and aesthetically, and stand the test of time.

After designing these types of plans 'in-house', he began The Propst Company in 1995, a company that would design and build homes. Today, The Propst Company builds approximately eight custom homes each year while designing more than fifty.
